He was en route to Malaysia, for the purpose of taking up an appointment as M.O. to a rubber and tobacco estate. Dr. Adamson was a Scotchman, and graduated at Glagow in 1897, coming out to South Africa in the same year as assistant to Dr. Cunningham, of Boksburg. He started practice at Springs in 1899, but when the Boer War broke out, left it and served as a Civil Surgeon. At the conclusion of the war he returned to Springs, where he was R.M.O., M.O.H., and M.O. to two or three coal-mining companies. About 1906 he joined Dr. Grace in partnership. He left Springs about the end of 1910, and went to England, subsequently practicing in a medical appintment at Dunkwa, on the West Coast of Africa. He leaves a widow, to whom we tender our sincere sympathy.6
