Passed away June 23, 2003 at the age of 92. Adored wife of Oliver (Al) Burness, Jr., beloved sister of Sarah Neill and Josephine Schneller and sister-in-law Lillian Willingham, she will forever be remembered and loved by her family who survives her, son Jack, daughter Claire Widmer, grandson Anthony Widmer, great-grandson Wade and her sister Helen Bykowsky. Born Clara Bykowsky in Frackville, PA, at 18 Clara moved to Brooklyn, New York and received her nursing degree from Long Island College Hospital, NY. She resided in Sheepshead Bay, NY until 1970 when the family moved to Santa Monica, CA, where she worked at Santa Monica Hospital until her retirement. Clara was a loving wife and mother to her family; in her last few years caregivers became dear friends. She will be deeply missed.
