She married her high school sweetheart, Charles H. Byfield, II, on April 21, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1997. She worked for C.H. Byfield, II & Associates, Inc. for many years and was a member of First Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her children, Beverly Hylton, Charles H. Byfield, III, Harry Thomas Byfield, Susan Jane Riggs, and Richard Stephen Byfield; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. Friends and family will gather on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.²
