She was joined by brother, William Edward, and sisters, Juanita and Laura Jean. In 1939 she married Lloyd Garlock and moved to Mist where they made their home for nearly 40 years. In 1976 they moved to Portland where she lived the rest of her life, close to her church and friends. Bernice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her faith in Jesus Christ was evident in everything she did. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd; and will be greatly missed by her son, Larry; daughter, Carolyn; and many family members and friends. A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, in Apostolic Faith Church, located at 5601 S.E. Duke St., Portland.3
