Obituary: Garlock, Lloyd Lorrell 90 05/15/1919 08/15/2009 Lloyd Garlock went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 15, 2009. He was born in St. Joseph, Mo., in 1919 to Ray and Alma Garlock. The family moved to San Diego in 1924, finally settling in Mist in 1929, where he made his home until 1976. He married Bernice Burness in 1939. They had two children, Larry Garlock of Clatskanie and Carolyn Wallace of La Grande. He made his living as a logger and cattle rancher. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Lloyd was devoted to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, living out his faith daily and moved to Portland in 1976 to better serve his church. His love for his wife and family showed in everything he did. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Bernice; children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Bliss of Milton-Freewater and her family. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, in the Apostolic Faith Church, 6615 S.E. 52nd Ave., Portland.1
