     Claude Matthew Reason was born on 28 November 1891 in Madison County, Indiana, USA.^2,3 He married Flossie Ann Clements, daughter of Edwin Clements and Eva C. Mansfield, on 16 December 1914 in Winamac, Pulaski County, Indiana, USA.² He died on 1 December 1967 in Logansport, Cass County, Indiana, USA, at age 76.^4,3 He was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, Cass County, Indiana, USA.⁴

Gregory on 10 November 1933 in Fulton County, Indiana, USA.¹ She died on 7 July 1992 in Akron, Summit County, Ohio, USA, at age 76.^6,3

     Lena Fern Reason was born on 4 February 1917 in Huntsville, Madison County, Indiana, USA.^1,2 She was the daughter of Claude Matthew Reason and Flossie Ann Clements.^1,3,4 She died on 8 February 2008 in Logansport, Cass County, Indiana, USA, at age 91.²

     Obituary: Services for Fern Reason Smith, 91, Logansport, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home. She died at 5:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, in Chase Convalescent Center in Logansport. Born Feb. 4, 1917, in Madison County, she was the daughter of Claude Reason and Flossie Clements. She was a homemaker and former beautician. She was a member of Yorktown Church of Christ and Golden Ages. She attended school at Grass Creek for 11 years and graduated from Twelve Mile High School in 1935. Survivors include daughter-in-law, Margaret J. Smith, Logansport; two grandsons, Jeff S. Smith and wife, Kelly, Logansport; and Jim E. Smith, Logansport, three sisters-in-law, Shirley Reason, Kewanna; Beth Reason Weller, Kewanna; and Marilou Reason, Logansport; brother-in-law, Mike Long, Logansport; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. One son, Jack E. Smith; five sisters, Jean Long, Leona Gregory, Lillian Graham, Ann Chapman and Ruth Heron; and four brothers, Roger, Russell, Donald and Carl Reason, preceded in death. Rev. Neil Noey will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Logansport.²
