     Obituary: Mrs. Judy Passwater, a citizen of Buffalo since 1906, passed away at the family home at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon [January 14, 1922] after a two weeks illness. Born in Cass county, Missouri, November 7, 1883, Mrs. Passwater was 38 years old. She was married to Alva C. Passwater June 17, 1904, in Missouri. In 1906 they moved to Buffalo and have resided here ever since. Mr. Passwater is a foreman at the De Lacy Bros. quarry. The deceased was a member of the Christian church and of Northern Star lodge, Pythian Sisters, of Moline. The husband and two daughters, Alverdia and Gladys, as well as the father, H. P. Hawkins, all of Buffalo, survive. Mrs. Lee King of Rainmore, Mo., Mrs. Denny Thomas of Kansas City, Miss Bernita Hawkins of Kansas City, and Miss Edna Hawkins of Greenwood, Mo., and one brother, Ernest Hawkins of Davenport, also survive. The funeral will be held from the home Tuesday afternoon, with services at the Christian Union Church at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made at Rosehill cemetery.²
